Cross Country State Finals Results

Respectable day for Preston at State, and a great experience for him, his family & coaches & teammates, as well as for all of us in attendance!‬

‪Placing - 104 out of 208 runners‬

‪Time - 17:06.5‬

‪Congrats to Preston on a great XC season!‬

Rossville Midde/High School

Preston will be the 2nd individual runner in Rossville Hornet XC history to compete at the State level. Darrell Boyd competed back in the fall of 1972 at the State XC meet and finished 14th overall that year.

In the first State XC meet in 1946 - at least what I am seeing in the Archives on the website - there was a team from Rossville that competed and placed 17th in their race, which at the time was a 2-mile course.  Today, they run a 3.1 mile (5000m) course.
